Patricia Yurena Rodríguez (born March 6, 1990 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife), Miss Spain World 2008 is the new Miss Universe Spain. She will compete in Miss Universe 2013, in Moscow.
What makes her election more special?
At 17 years old, she was elected Miss Spain 2008, the official representative to Miss Universe, but due to Miss Universe eligibility regulations that state every contestant must be 18 years old before February 1, Rodríguez was ineligible to attend Miss Universe 2008 and first runner-up Claudia Moro of Madrid went instead.
Rodríguez was sent to compete in Miss World 2008 in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she placed as one of the top 15 semifinalists.
A new organisation took Miss Spain franchise for Miss Universe since 2012 what allowed Patrícia to compete again. For the second time she won her national beauty pageant and will finally be able to attend the pageant she expected to go five years ago.
